We love the ocean, mountains, rivers, and lakes, forests, and grassland.
Most of us identify with an outdoor activity, with nature and its spirit like some-kind of wonderland.
Millions of people fly or drive huge distances every year just to feel the warm saltwater run over our skin,
sending shivers up and down our spine,
opening our heart.
We drive hours and hours to spend only a few days with skis on a mountain admiring the mind-blowing view,
snow and ice nature's special form of art.
Nature is generous and altruistic.
And we…? We are selfish and narcissistic.
We have a right to enjoy the ocean, the mountains, rivers, and lakes, forests, and grassland.
But its like in any other relationship.
To keep it intact we need to treasure it, balance, and give back, we need to nurture and invest the same amount of time to care for it and save it as we spend enjoying our self in it.
We are not in the leadership role here, if anything, I would call it a membership in the club of Wilderness.
We have to stop this human ego trip.
Very wise words my friend!!! ;)
I think this pandemic came to show us in tough way that we are "members" here rather than owners and that we should behave. every summer I get the pressure that I have to leave somewhere while I know there are places IN the city I live in that I know I would love and I don't know yet.
